Keith Haring | Henri Matisse Overlapping Fish Bowls1st Graders learned about artist Henri Matisse and studied his painting 'Goldfish'. We also studied how to overlap objects in a composition. | Robert Mills Dream House3rd Graders created their own 'Dream House' based on Charleston, SC native Robert Mills. We then made an iron gate based on SC artist Philip Simmons. |
African Amulets4th Graders learned about Folk Art in different countries. We made amulets based on African techniques used in masks and other good luck charms. | Abstract Art4th Graders learned about artist Wassily Kandinsky and his relationship with art and music. Wayne Thiebaud Tints and Shades5th Graders learned about artist Wayne Thiebauld and the food subject matter of most of his art.
